My latest Chescalocs  video, “My lipstick story” was inspired by the lovely Tracee Ellis Ross. Now of course I wanted to share my growing lipstick collection but more importantly, as a black woman I thought it was important to talk about self love and the  journey to accept my full lips. So next time someone says black women can’t wear color (I’m looking at you A$AP Rocky), tell them they can’t write your lipstick story.

Edited to add: Yay! “My Lipstick Story” has been featured on Jezebel and The Huffington Post! Thanks to all that enjoyed and shared!

Your lips are gorgeous! You look great in color, and can wear any color that you like. Truth be told, we would all love to have full luscious lips like yours. Go ahead and celebrate the beauty that God gave you.

I love this 🙂 I’ve got darker sing around my lips which always made me shy about my lips and wearing colour on them. But I feel inspired to experiment with colour now! Thanks Chesca! xx Ritu
