It is strange and thrilling to sit across from a journalist knowing they are going to try to make sense of your entire career. It’s even stranger when they actually can make sense of it.

We talked about the journey, the pivots, and the ways I have learned to use humor when the truth feels sharp. They also featured my latest piece, “The Leopards Song,” which started as a joke and quickly became a full-blown commentary on the people who vote against their own interests and then act surprised when the consequences show up at their doorstep. It has been amazing to see that piece resonate the way it has, and even more incredible to have it documented like this.

I am grateful to everyone who has watched, shared, challenged, and supported me over the years. This kind of reflection is rare. I am holding it close.
